Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nostalgia! I love Lego! I love Jurassic Park! When I heard and saw that this set was going to be real and released, I was beyond excited! This scene is so memorable to me. It opened up my dreams and imaginations. I love the Triceratops! It is probably my second favorite dinosaur. This figure and mold is stunning to me. The Jeep, Ian Malcolm and Ellie Sattler are all amazing! This was a must have. No question and not a doubt in my mind. The build was fun. Quick shipping and safe packaging. Highly recommended and very satisfied. Thank you so much. Wishing you blessings, happiness, health and safety.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way overpriced This set in itself is a great idea, however there is no justification for the price tag.. Way too expensive, horrible value

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A ton of fun and still not done! So far we are getting a lot of enjoyment out of this set - and we aren't even done with the build! My son wanted to build one of the Jurassic sets last night for his evening activity and this was the one chosen. He got the triceratops and Ellie built first (which kept our youngest busy), then he moved on to the vehicle. He only got the first bag completed (an hour goes by fast!), but was very into it. (His direct quote after getting the fenders on was: "This is good building!") This afternoon, he finished the Explorer and is now driving it around next to my 60's Batmobile version (built from the T-Rex Breakout instructions). Looks like it's going to keep us entertained for quite some time! (And he still needs to build bag 3!) A note on the construction: This seemed like a better version for play than the T-Rex Breakout build. The bumpers on this one seem to be sturdier and the roof seemed easier to build. However, the extension of the grill guard was a challenge for him (I ended up helping finish it), but overall he was able to manage almost everything else on his own. (He is only three though!) I've read a few reviews about the differences in the Explorer build in this one compared to the one in the T-Rex Breakout set, but perhaps the main reasoning for the changes here were to accommodate younger builders. (Though, I guess that doesn't cover the interior color change...) Lastly, I have to be honest: the price almost kept us from purchasing this set. We typically go for sets with a higher ratio in terms of pieces-per-dollar - and this one was well below that mark. Perhaps the licensing was a big reason for the higher price of this set, but it was still a drawback. That said, as Jurassic Park was quite an influence during my childhood, we saw this as a fun way to share some of our favorite things. (Unfortunately, he informed me as he finished the Explorer: "I made [me] a Dad's Favorite!" Guess I'm stuck with the Batmobile version!) *I'm also loving all the frogs in each of these 30th Anniversary builds! Nice little reference to the DNA modifications!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Purchase for the Explorer! I bought this to supplement the other JP builds, and to get a full build of the No. #4 Ford Explorer (previously only as the flipped version in the Breakout Set). I love the vehicle, but miss the windshield wipers (nit-picky, I know). The "one big pile of ****" was cute, but really didn't add much to the build. Overall, basic!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice 30yr Anniv Set This set is really cool. The main reason i got this set was for the minifigs and the triceratops which is a new color. A little steep in price for the size of the build.
