Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of the 30th JP Sets, IMHO Okay, so most of the 30th anniversary sets are designed as play-sets - totally get it (even though younger generations weren't around when the OG movie came out). But, of all the new sets, this one is my favorite. You've got a Brachiosaurus, a Jeep, and a cool tree build (though, interestingly shaped), plus some mini-figs! It has just enough nostalgia and detail that makes the build fun - though, I wish the tree could have been filled out with more branches and leaves, and/or a larger trunk/roots. I love the Jeep build - too bad we didn't have sunglasses for Grant and Ellie to at least hold! (I repurposed this jeep to recreate the T-Rex chase scene with Ellie, Muldoon, and Malcolm).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nostalgia Overload! I love Lego! I love Jurassic Park! When I heard and saw that this set was going to be real and released, I was beyond excited! This scene is so iconic and memorable to me. It took my breath away and opened up my dreams and imaginations. I love the Brachiosaurus! It is probably my favorite dinosaur. This figure and mold is stunning to me. The Jeep, John Hammond, Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler are all amazing! This was a must have. No question and not a doubt in my mind. I ordered it the moment it was available. The build was so fun. Quick shipping and safe packaging. Highly recommended and very satisfied. Thank you so much. Wishing you blessings, happiness, health and safety.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set for an iconic scene I see a few negative reviews under this set and while I agree with some elements of them, I still really enjoy this set. The tree was a really cool build unlike anything I’ve done with LEGO before and that alone sets it apart for me. It’s one of the most memorable scenes of the film and to have it captured in LEGO format is a true delight for my JP room.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Set From 30th Anniversary As a classic JP enthusiast I was incredibly excited for these sets to be released, I did purchase all 5 of them as its a theme and like to collect them (will be leaving reviews for them as well. >Pros: *A Brachiosaurus *Printed Jeep Grill (we need more printed pieces lego, stop giving us stickers) *Nice looking jeep design *Decent Tree design >Cons: *Jeep is not really minifig scale, also the jeep design differs in minor areas from set 76958, not sure why(design of the front and rear lights *No Jurassic Park, tour guide driver...but yet out of 5 sets 4 of them have an Dr. Sattler character which is a bit overkill *Way too many stickers, lego do better and give us printed pieces, especially for sets that can be collectors *Tree could have been a bit taller anf better shape like the ones used in the new Endor Speeder Bike set. >Overall best set that Lego provided for the 30th anniversary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do you remember the first time you saw a dinosaur? When I heard the quote above in Fallen Kingdom, all I could think was, "Yes, I do remember the first time I saw one in a Jurassic Park film!" My father and I were late to the theater and walked in as Alan Grant's crew was just starting to get the ground sonar readings in. Since we missed that sneak peak at the velociraptor, the Brachiosaurus was the first dinosaur I saw in the franchise. -- Having been a fan of the long-necks already, this was a set I was eyeing for my own son (who I knew would love the Jeep most). While it's a bit more expensive in terms of the piece count, it has been well worth the money! It is very versatile in terms of recreating scenes out of the movie, it has a fantastic Jeep, details relating to the two main Brachiosaur scenes, and has really bridged the gap between my childhood and my son's. -- As for the building of the set, our son (3 years old) wanted to start building with the tree, but quickly tired of it. I really was surprised he wanted to start there, as he's usually very vehicle-focused. Anyway, he asked me to finish the tree (first building I've actually done on the three JP sets we've constructed so far!) and he ended up building the Jeep himself. All-in-all, it was a great time had by all (other than him wanting to knock the sign down while I was building - he kept thinking it was like the one in the Nedry set) and as a Dad who usually has to help fix models when pieces fall off during play, the Jeep is pretty beefy and seems to hold up well to semi-rough play (again, knocking over signs and such). -- As I mentioned before, the set - in particular, the tree itself - is set up to really work well for the Brachiosaurus scenes. If you ended up purchasing the Visitor Center as well, you would be able to recreate the "A Tree For My Bed" scene fairly well. It's a bit of a challenge to get the three characters to look comfortable on that small platform, but it is doable. Also, the tree can be turned around (I took off some of the flowers and the sign, too) to look more bare like the tree being fed on during the first Brachiosaurus scene. Very well done in my book! (And more frog DNA in this set!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive, but great set for the dinosaur fan My son loves having a Lego Brachiosaurus in his collection. The build was easy with an adult helping.
