Rated 5 out of 5 by from NETHERITE ARMOR!!!!! This is the only set with a full set of “Netherite Armor”!! It also comes with a Netherite Sword! It would have been great to come with a Pickaxe but it’s fine. Maybe with Caves & Cliffs sets? The only downside is how the Portal works. It comes up great but you need to push it for it to go down. I recommend this set for anyone who loves Minecraft!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Central Piece Pretty big for its price (atleast in my region compared to other sets) . Bought it especially for the Netherite armor and sword (ore too) since its the only one having a full set , althrough they could've chosen another skin beside the usual Steve . Also , the portal mechanism is pretty weird and it took me a while to realise how it works, but other than that its an awesome set that connects well with others (and to be honest i've grown pretty fond of it)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Difficult but fun [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my Lego and Minecraft fanatic, and he did enjoy it. He said that the instructions are somewhat easy to follow, but that it was hard to get the blocks to connect completely. Snapping on a piece on one side would result with a piece on the other side snapping off. It’s very hard to make the characters hold the weapons and hard to remove them once they are there. Once he did get the portal together, it didn’t work the way it was intended. He did enjoy it once it was completed and would be fun for any Minecraft fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the mechanics! I got this set to add a connection between my overworld and nether sets, and I really love it! You get a lot of detail in this set, besides the mechanic part. Two minifigures with armor and weapons and two animals, along with decorative items. It took me a second to figure out how the mechanics actually work. You RAISE the portal with the stone blocks. Once you raise it to the top, it stays. The lever on the side is only for LOWERING it. You just gently pull it and the portal will go down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Son loves it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My oldest loves Minecraft. When he saw this set he could not wait to get it home and put it together. He did have a little trouble putting it together. Some of the directions were harder to understand. However, he figured it out and loves it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Minecraft obsessed 7 year old was over the moon excited about this Lego set. Legos are one of his favorite toys as is but being his favorite game made it even more fun for him. He needed my help a lot, which I expected and didn’t mind, but an older kid would be able to put these together no problem. The quality was good, as I expect from Lego brand, the instructions were easy to follow and most importantly, he enjoyed the process and the finished project.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nether again! My son was super excited to get this set for his birthday as he loves Minecraft and the nether portal feature looked so cool! He spent a better part of an afternoon patiently building it. When he finally finished, the nether portal wouldn’t work properly. There were a lot of tears of frustration! I tried to fix it but realized I needed to build it myself to figure out what was happening with the mechanism. So then I also spent a good hour or so rebuilding it from scratch. He just turned 8 so I thought maybe he made a small error in building that impacted the final design. Well I finally finished it and It worked for all of 30 seconds. The crank broke off inside and I had to take it apart. Part of the crank seems to push part of the wall structure which pushes it apart. I adjusted it which helped at first but ultimately it broke again. I consider myself to be apretty good LEGO builder and so unless I am completely missing something, I think the mechanism is a bit finicky and breaks easily. All the figures are great though, but unfortunately the set has sat in a pile completely unused because no one has wanted to spend the time trying to rebuild it again since. It’s been one of the most anticipated LEGO sets we’ve had but the most disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won’t hold together My son built this and ended up in tears. I helped him by rebuilding it TWICE and each time it fell apart. It’s missing key structural supports. Very frustrating. We’ve never had this happen, and this was a huge disappointment.
