Pretty in Pink (and Purple)!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a Barbie Fashionistas doll #189. This doll is very cute with its pink hair, floral print dress, light blue shoes and cool sunglasses. My 6 year old and 4 year old were both bery curious about her purple prosthetic leg; which actually led us into some nice eductaional questions and answers about it. Other than the prosthetic leg, this is the standard Barbie doll Mattel is known for. That said, my children immediately tossed her in the mix of their Barbie-verse. The pacakging also acts as a great secure carrying case for Barbie dolls and their accessories outside of home. The Fashionistas line continues to be a favorite in my household!

Barbie 189
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Barbie 189, personally I miss the old school Barbies, but to each their own I suppose. This Barbie comes with pink hair and a fake purple leg. My girls thought the prosthetic leg was cool and they named this Barbie; Grandpa because their grandpa has a prosthetic leg. They couldn't wait to call him and tell him all about her fake leg. He was a bit confused as to why Barbie had pink hair and a purple prosthetic leg and thought Grandpa wasn't a very fitting name for a young girl doll however my littles ones were insistent she must be named Grandpa and eventfully he came around to their cuteness.

Barbies for everyone!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was such a wonderful experience with this barbie. At first glance it’s your typical barbie but once out of the package it’s extraordinary! The leg is a bionic leg according to my daughter and it was purple her favorite color. This doll fits any needs for a child who does indeed have an artificial leg and also a child without. It provided an experience like no other of how we come in different forms and how we can still function. I enjoyed watching my daughter come up with stories of how her leg came to be the way it is and treated the doll as a typical doll and no different.

Cute
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter really enjoys playing with her Barbie Fashionistas Doll #189. This doll is absolutely beautiful. She has long, fun to brush pink hair, that my daughter loves to style. She comes wearing a beautiful floral dress, blue sneakers and a pair of sunglasses. This Barbie doll is unique because her left leg is a purple prosthetic leg. My daughter asked about it and I explained it to her, and she was filled with compassion about it. This doll is great, fun to play with, hold my daughter's attention and comes with a little life lesson in kindness.

Great idea, legs do not bend
Everything about her is great except Mattel didn’t design her with bendable legs or arms. At least make the legs bend. My child also pointed out that the foot on the prosthetic was skin color, not the same color as the prosthetic, and thought the foot should match the leg because the prosthetic would all be the same piece. Even I missed that detail. Some things to think about, Mattel.

Great looking Barbie
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a cool looking Barbie doll that has a prosthetic leg. I think it is great that they have made dolls that incorporate handicaps such as this one. It helps kids know about others disabilities and helps them in play. My granddaughter has a friend with a similar prosthetic and she has named her Sarah after her. The doll is very pretty with her long pink hair and lavender leg. She is ready for fun in the sun with her fashionable sundress and sun glasses.

Love Barbie diversity!

Fun and unique
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8 year old daughter is obsessed with everything Barbie related. She was first really into the Chelsea sized dolls and grew a huge collection. Suddenly she realized she only had blonde barbies and no "mommy" dolls to match all her kids. This fashionista doll is so perfect for her, the pink hair is so fun and cute and matches one of her Chelsea's. Also, my daughter ha grown more curious about how people are different. Things that look different and how people's bodies are different. This doll allows her the chance to ask questions in a safe play environment and for me to explain things about the world to her in a way she can understand. She loves this doll and i love that Barbie has branched off from all blonde hair blue eyed standard looking dolls.
