Great upgrade from the original!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are big Toy Story fans under this roof and have been looking forward to seeing the new Lightyear movie. This Buzz Lightyear toy has quickly replaced our old Buzz as the favorite toy (much like the original movie!) At almost a foot tall, it’s the perfect size for my five-year-old and light weight and easily posable. He absolutely loves to repeat all the new catch phrases and sounds. Our favorite feature is making Buzz’s blade light up and make swooshing sounds from squeezing his legs together. I think this is a great replacement for the original Buzz’s wings that pop out. Really happy with this toy.

Love this toy but…
Toy is fun and entertaining for the fact that it lights up and have sound. The sword/leg motion is also fun to have and simple enough for my two year old. My six year old enjoys this toy the most! He is big on action figures and this allow him battle his other action figures. Only downside to this toy that can be resolved with super glue :) is the ease of the head popping off. If the toy falls a certain way it risks the head breaking off. Unfortunately I’ve had this happen twice because I bought two of these and both had their heads break off. First time was due to roughness by tossing and the other by accidentally dropping.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Buzz lightyear action figure is great. The swinging action to activate laser blade and phrases is cool. The action figure is sturdy and can stand on its own. The figure has moving joints and fixed left hand. The sound effects are loud and the laser blade is bright. The only negative in my view is that the figure uses small batteries compared to conventional AA OR AAA. The laser blade gets stuck behind leg sometimes and the action figure is missing a helmet, maybe just missing the old Buzz. Other than that, its a great fun and very entertaining.

Fun but not sure it’ll hold up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Large size is great. Very Colorful. Looks exactly like the animated character from the movies. The Lights on the laser and the many sounds & sayings are “so cool” the kids said. They had a big adventure right away with Buzz rescuing Fashion dolls. Buzz hanging out with other superheroes. Super easy to use. Just squeeze the legs together & he springs into action. Not too sure if it’ll stand up to heavy or tough play tho. Definitely can’t be used in water. A lot of movable parts. The plastic seems kind of thin, hollow in places and a little flimsy.

Buzz is back with noise and fighting action!

I didn’t think my young child would be interested because Toy Story is more of millennials generational movie but this toy with all its noise and movement really grabbed my child’s interest! To the point where we streamed all the movies same day! This toy offers buzz lightyear speaking many phrases as well as swinging his sword/saber when his legs are squeezed. Any child who is a fan of action figures or toy story will love this toy. It’s very well made and durable. Mattel never disappoints.

My boys loved lightyear so I purchased this for Christmas and then decided to let them have it early but I'm very disappointed because after less than a month of play the head has come off! I don't understand why so many toys get made so cheaply these days. This is a nice size so that's a plus but wasn't made to hold up. I tossed my receipt so unfortunately this was a waste of money!

Four-Year-Old Approved!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this Buzz Lightyear for my Toy Story obsessed 4 year old who cannot wait for the new Buzz Lightyear movie to come out. She was so excited when it came that could barely get the box open! I was nervous about the noise but there are so many that it doesn’t feel obnoxious or repetitive and it’s not too loud. She loves that he lights up and sounds like “the real buzz.” The colors are nice and he is very well made. Even after days and days of constant play he looks new. My daughter’s only complaint is that he doesn’t have a working helmet, but she’s only mentioned it once. Her best friend at school has a birthday coming up and I’ve got a feeling we’ll be taking a Buzz Lightyear with us as a gift!

Buzz is a amazing toy, My son is OBSESSED with it.

He got very happy as soon as he saw it, and it was very well packaged and the box was very pretty. When the legs are pushed together, he moves, talks and his sword lights up... The toy's size is ideal, its a great quality toy, and it sounds great. We love it any my son takes him everywhere and doesn't let go of it. Thank you for giving him his new favorite toy. ❤️
